The scientific management of JCET is facilitated through four research focus groups whose titles reflect their scientific disciplines:

• Atmospheric Radiation
• Clouds/Precipitation
• Interdisciplinary
• Observations

Every JCET faculty and associate staff member belongs to one of the focus groups. Each focus group elects a group leader, who is responsible for the scientific leadership of the group.
