JCET Polar Scientist quoted in Science Magazine

Antarctica is a big wild card in sea-level projections

While attending the multi-day WAIS meeting on October 5, JCET's Christopher A. Shuman was one of a number of scientists interviewed about a joint NSF/BAS program to investigate the Thwaites Glacier and other fast changing areas of West Antarctica. The 'How Much, How Fast' initiative will further investigate this region's major outlet glaciers that are known to be losing mass now and are expected to contribute significantly to accelerating global sea level rise.
