Valerie Casasanto & Chris Shuman bring Landsat to the public
The Landsat 9 spacecraft is the next generation satellite to help continue the continuous record of global imagery collected by the Landsat family of satellites since 1972.
Landsat was launched atop a United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at 2:12 p.m. EDT on Sept. 27. Valerie and Chris were part of the public outreach team.
