As Comet ISON heads behind the Sun for a potential disruptive perihelion passage, Susan Hoban and Team UMBC ISON are gearing up for an intensive observing campaign in January and February 2014. If the comet survives its close approach to the Sun, the comet will be visible conveniently in the evening hours for interested viewers in the Baltimore area. Hoban's group will be hosting a public viewing event on campus. Stay tuned for details.
